Hi everyone,

The Hope Curling Club will be open for practice and to new curlers to try nightly on weekdays, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m.  I encourage all Club members to bring interested individuals to the Club to try their hand at our sport!  Also, don't forget about our Fun 'Spiel on Saturday, October 5 - seewww.hopecurlingclub.com and the Hope Curling Club Facebook page for details.

Two weeks before league play begins - please submit details of your teams to Roman and me as soon as possible.  League registration forms will be available soon on the Hope Curling Club website.

Hello Curlers!

Roman is hopeful that the ice will be ready by the end of this week and we are scheduled to start our league play the week of October 14 (This will be a "fun" week, official schedules start the following week).

If you haven't gathered up your team(s) yet, it's time to get busy!  I encourage you to talk to friends, family, co-workers who might be interested in trying curling and to bring them out to the rink for an Open House night (the Club will be open weekday evenings for practice/instruction beginning next week) and/or the Fun 'Spiel event we have planned for October 5 (look under the "News" tab atwww.hopecurlingclub.com for details).

There has been some discussion about perhaps changing Men's League to Tuesday night - if you have a team that is available to curl Tuesday but not Monday, or a team that curls Monday but can't on Tuesday, please let Roman know your circumstances.

Thursday Open League is completely open as far as team make-up is concerned - any Ladies' teams interested in curling this season, please join us for some fun on Thursday evenings if you are able!

Curling Fees:

First night: $250.00 (as approved at the AGM)

Second night: $150.00 (unchanged)

Third night: $60.00 (unchanged)

One-time lifetime membership fee of $75.00 for new curlers (unchanged).

Fees are to be collected for each team by the skip and are due byNovember 2 to Stu (Treasurer) or Roman (Manager).  Skips: please complete a team registration form and turn in with your dues.

Hope Curling Club members,

The Annual General Meeting of the Hope Curling Club will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18 at the Curling Club.  There will be draws for a free night of curling, a free locker rental and other goodies.  League information and registration forms will be available.  We are seeking new Directors and need to fill the offices of President, Vice President and Secretary for the upcoming year.  Please attend the meeting if you are able and consider being a part of the leadership of your Club - the success of your Club depends entirely on everyone's participation!
