A big thank you to everyone who participated in and supported the Hope Mixed Bonspiel. We were fortunate to have curlers from Rocky Mountain House, Prince George, Kelowna, Osoyoos, Victoria, Comox, and Chilliwack, join us in Hope for a great weekend.

Congratulations to the D.Davis Rink, winners of the A Event at the 2018 Hope Men's Bonspiel. The Davis Rink defeated the Dixon Rink from Vancouver in the A Final.

Winner of the B Event was the Petryk Rink from Hope, over the Don Wiens Rink, and winner of the C Event was the Alexander Rink from Vancouver, over the local Tom DeSorcy Rink.

Thank you to all of the teams who participated and thank you to all of our club volunteers who worked together to put on another fantastic Men's Bonspiel. 

Our next bonspiel is the Hope Mixed (February 23-25, 2018) and we will once again have live music by Andrew Christopher on Saturday night, following the silent auction.

Some important news for members:

1. The curling club ice plant is run with FREON not Ammonia like the skating rink here or in rink in Fernie B.C.
2. A reminder to members that Tuesday night is an open night for curling. Come and practice or curl with friends.
3. If you know of a business that is looking to advertise, there is space on the inside of the building. $250.00 per year to advertise. The expense of the sign is part of the first year advertising.

The Hope Curling Club is hosting an OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1 PM to 4 PM.

If you would like to try curling, dress warm and bring a clean pair of runners with you (if you don't have curling shoes). We will provide the equipment and instructors!

A big thanks to all those who volunteered this weekend from the people in the canteen, the people on bar shift and those who helped and cleaned up for supper. I think the weekend was a roaring success. Special thanks to Wendy and Lou for their work on the silent auction. Thanks to Harveys for the band, Tommy D and Bob Ridgway for cooking steaks, Glen Riddell for his 50 50 draw, Roman for his work, Carrie and Jessica for the wonderful meal, Galen and Penny for doing a double bar shift Saturday night. 
 
Thanks to all the winners and losers who participated as well this weekend.
